Looking at the way his films are making money at the box office, one has to wonder where exactly is going wrong with Akhil Akkineni. Whether Mahesh Babu arrives, Megastar Chiranjeevi graces or Jr NTR speaks for him, the collections of his films are declining.
There were huge expectations on Akhil from his debut film “Akhil: The Power Of Jua” itself, and that film has collected 7.59 crores share on its First Day. Then we have Hello making 3.8 crores from the box office, taking his box office to a low. Then Mr Majnu started on a high note as the movie collected 4.35+ crores world wide share on the first day, but on the second day, it fell to a surprisingly same figure, though trade circles expected that the Jan 26th holiday will boost ticket sales.
After getting some mixed reviews and some favorable reviews, Mr Majnu team expected that the film will make it great at the box office. But going by the current graph, it may fall short of scoring 22+ crores share (pre-release figures) by a distance. Though it’s too early to talk about it, let’s see what happens as trade circles are not so hopeful.
