Yesteryear Malayalam film actress Kalpana passed away today in Hyderabad. After she was found in an unconscious state in a hotel, Kalpana was rushed to a hospital where the doctors declared her brought dead. She is believed to have suffered a cardiac arrest.
We reliably learnt that, Kalpana was in Hyderabad to attend the shooting of Nagarjuna and Karthi starrer Oopiri. Kalpana was signed to play an important and witty role in the Vamsi Paidipally directorial. But, her death caused the makers to look for another actor.
In fact, it is tough task for them to find right replace for Kalpana. Popular actresses Urvashi and Kalaranjini are Kalpana’s siblings. Kalpana entered the film industry wanting to become a heroine. However, she ended up doing comedy roles. Kalpana has drifted into reality shows.
She recently performed a music album with Usha Uthup. She has published her autobiography, Njan Kalpana. Entire South Film Industry expressed their shock at the sudden demise of Kalpana.
