Former TDP Leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav joined in ruling party TRS and take the charge as Minister under KCR government. Before taking the charge, Talasani had announced that he resigned for his membership to the Assembly. Talasani Srinivas Yadav was elected as TDP nominee from Sanat Nagar Assembly Segment over TRS nominee Vital by a margin of 27,500 votes in 2014 elections.
Secunderabad is his native constituency. Talasani was elected four times from Secunderabad Assembly Segment. Talasani was lost in 2009 general elections from Secunderabad Assembly Segment over Congress rival and cine actress Jaya Sudha. Talasani changed his constituency from Secunderabad to Sanath Nagar. Sanath Nagar has majority of Non-Telangana votes that helped Talasani victory.
Talasani has never ever participated in Telangana agitation during his entire political career. But KCR wants to invite into TRS and offered ministry to strengthen TRS in the city. As per media reports, Talasani sent his resignation letter to Telangana Spekaer Madhusudana Chary for acceptance. TDP also moved its petition against Talasani for his defection.
Speaker did not take any decision on Talasani Resignation. As per IB reports, KCR got information on Talasani victory again from Sanath Nagar if there is bye-election in the segment. People were strongly believed that he joined in TRS because of the Ministry.
