High expectations are riding on Salman Khan’s upcoming Eid attraction Bajrangi Bhaijaan that seems like a potential blockbuster from the promos.
All of Salman’s recent Eid releases were huge hits and the trade is expecting BB to crack the 300 crore code, which was only cracked by Aamir Khan until now.
Salman’s Kick that was released for Eid last year collected 231.85 crores in India. This currently stands as Salman Khan’s best grosser and is at the third place in the list of all time top grossers behind PK and Dhoom 3, both starring Aamir Khan. PK has set the bar high for Bollywood films with a tally of 340.8 crores (India business only).
Salman can easily breach the 300 crore mark with a film that has decent content besides the masala elements.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan looks promising enough to be the film that could prove the true potential of Salman Khan. This has been a dull year for Bollywood so far with no big hits barring Tanu Weds Manu Returns.
BB is the first big film of the year and the trade is expecting the film to take the box office by storm.
