Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is set to embark on an official visit to Singapore from July 26 to 30. He will be accompanied by key ministers including Nara Lokesh, TG Bharath, and Narayana during this 4-day trip.
Typically, when the Chief Minister is away, the Deputy CM steps in to oversee state affairs, even though the role of in-charge CM isn’t officially designated by law. In this context, all eyes are on Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, who could potentially assume that responsibility.
A similar scenario unfolded when Chandrababu attended the World Economic Forum in Davos. At that time, there was widespread speculation that Pawan Kalyan would be named as the in-charge CM, but that did not materialize. Interestingly, Pawan himself didn’t appear overly concerned about the decision back then.
Though the role of in-charge CM carries no formal authority, it holds significant political weight and can be a symbolic boost, especially for someone like Pawan Kalyan, who is steadily building his political journey.
With Chandrababu heading overseas once again, the question arises: Will Pawan Kalyan be given the opportunity to act as in-charge CM this time? The answer remains to be seen in the coming days.
