This December, the winter session of Andhra Pradesh Legislature will take place at Thullur in the Amaravati capital region. Yesterday, the AP Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao and the engineering officials came to the decision in this regard. For this purpose, a temporary Assembly premises will be set up on a 5-acre land in Thullur.
In the meeting, Speaker Kodela urged the officials to take up the task as a prestigious mission since this would be the first time that Amaravati will be hosting the AP Assembly sessions. In view of the very short time, the R&B department engineers will be getting down to work on war-footing to set up the Assembly premises.
Already, the R&B engineers proposed a design for the Assembly building to which Kodela suggested a few changes. The Speaker further told the engineering department to seek CM Chandrababu’s approval on the suggested changes.
Apart from the Assembly, several key administrative departments have already moved to Aamravati, with Chandrababu himself settling down in the capital.
