Kollywood’s small-budget youthful drama With Love is making impressive waves at the box office during its opening weekend. Despite releasing without any festival advantage and facing stiff competition from multiple new films, the romantic coming-of-age drama has surprised the trade with strong early numbers.
According to trade estimates, With Love has collected ₹3.53 crore net in just two days and is poised for further growth on Sunday. The film, starring Tourist Family fame Abishan Jeevinth and Malayalam actress Answara Ranjan in the lead roles, opened to a decent ₹1.60 crore net on Friday.
Positive word of mouth from audiences and encouraging reviews from critics played a key role in boosting collections on Saturday. The film witnessed a notable jump, earning ₹1.93 crore net on Day 2, taking the total past the ₹3.5 crore mark. Viewers have particularly appreciated the charming performances of the lead pair and the heartfelt storytelling by debut director Madan.
While the film has a few underwhelming moments, its emotional connect and relatable narrative have resonated well with moviegoers.
