Even before mega brother Naga Babu’s outburst against eminent novelist Yandamuri Veerendranath at the pre-release event of Khaidi No.150 and the aftereffects could be forgotten, the senior writer has come up with fresh indirect comments targeting megastar.
Speaking at an event, Yandamuri criticized the ‘Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu’ show which is being hosted by megastar Chiranjeevi. Although he didnt take the name of Chiru, he rebuked the show. It may be noted that Yandamuri has reportedly never uttered a single word against MEK when Nagarjuna Akkineni hosted the show for the first three seasons.
‘Game shows especially MEK is looting the poor. In the hope of becoming the lucky one to sit on the hot seat, lakhs of people, mostly poor and lower middle class are sending the mandatory 3 messages which cost Rs 15. The show organizers pocket Rs 1.5 Cr even if only 1 lakh members send messages. In return, they are throwing on an average Rs 5-6 lakh as a bait to dog,’ said Yandamuri.
He used to be a close associate of Chiru until a few years ago. However, some incidents including the speech in which he ridiculed Ram Charan created enmity between mega family and Yandamuri.
