Yash to Play a Key Role with Over 1 Hour Screen Time in Ramayana

Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi are headlining Nitesh Tiwari’s grand cinematic adaptation of Ramayana, with Yash taking on the powerful role of Ravana. While early rumors suggested that Yash would appear for only 15 minutes towards the end of the film, recent updates from the production team confirm otherwise.

According to inside sources, Yash will enjoy substantial screen time — reportedly over an hour — in the first part of Ramayana. His character will not only leave a lasting impact in Part 1 but also serve as a crucial build-up to the epic confrontation in Part 2.

Yash, who began filming in April, has already completed a 50-day shooting schedule. The production team is carefully choreographing the sequences, with special emphasis on the intense face-off between Ram and Ravana — a key highlight that will carry over into the second installment.

Given Yash’s massive fan following and proven box office appeal, his extended presence is expected to add tremendous value to the film. The initial speculations of a mere cameo are now being dismissed as baseless, as the makers focus on presenting a deeper and more layered portrayal of Ravana.

Ramayana is being made on a monumental scale and will release in two parts. Part 1 is slated for a grand Diwali 2026 release, followed by Part 2 during Diwali 2027.
