Jagan Mohan Reddy has often been accused of using political tactics to manipulate his supporters and leaders into making personal attacks against Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh. On multiple occasions, Jagan himself has made derogatory comments against Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan, setting a precedent for his followers.
A striking example of this is Ippala Ravindra Reddy, who was once a staunch YCP supporter and an active voice for the party on social media. Before 2017, his social media posts were filled with offensive remarks against Chandrababu, Lokesh, and even their family members, including Bhubaneswari and Brahmani. His inflammatory content eventually led to his arrest in 2017.
However, in a surprising turn of events, the same Ravindra Reddy was part of a delegation that met IT Minister Nara Lokesh today. This wasn’t a personal meeting but rather an official gathering with a professional agenda. Ravindra Reddy is now a key member of Cisco’s regional team, which is collaborating with the Andhra Pradesh government on its skill development initiative. Cisco is set to provide crucial technological support, including AI and machine learning expertise, for the project.
As soon as images of Ravindra Reddy meeting Lokesh surfaced online, there was an immediate backlash from Telugu Desam supporters. Many questioned how someone who had once launched vile attacks against Lokesh and his family was now engaging with him in an official capacity. Given the growing discontent among TDP activists over the lack of action against several YCP leaders, this incident further fueled outrage on social media.
Recognizing the sensitivity of the issue, the Andhra Pradesh government reportedly acted swiftly, sending an official request to Cisco to exclude Ravindra Reddy from any further involvement in the project.
