Yes Bank founder buys Rs 2 crore painting from Gandhi

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) which had arrested Yes Bank founder Rana Kapoor, got to know a shocking thing in their investigation. In the probe, Rana revealed that he bought an expensive painting worth Rs 2 crore from none other than Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi.

The painting was of reputed artist MF Hussain and it had Priyanka’s father Rajiv Gandhi. Rana bought this painting in the year 2010 and the entire amount was paid by cheque. BJP IT wing head shared about this and alleged every financial crime in India has “deep links” with the Gandhis.

However, Congress hit back at BJP for this allegation. Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi acknowledged that the painting was sold by Priyanka Gandhi but there is nothing to hide. “Priyanka Gandhi mentioned the entire amount in her income tax return of 2010,” said Singhvi.

Further the Congress leader said the BJP is diverting the attention of public and media in Yes Bank crisis. Under Modi’s rule, Yes Bank gave away loans of Rs 2,00,000 crore and whom should be blamed for this,” questioned another Congress leader Randeen Singh Surjewala.

Seems like BJP and Congress are involved in blame game over Yes Bank crisis.
