YS Family Rift Deepens as Vijayamma Opposes Jagan’s Legal Move

The YS family is in turmoil as the property dispute between Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his sister YS Sharmila takes a legal turn, drawing their mother, YS Vijayamma, into the controversy. The conflict intensified after Jagan approached the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) to revoke the gift deeds he had earlier granted to Sharmila and Vijayamma from Saraswati Power Company.

In response, Vijayamma has filed a counter at the tribunal, expressing deep sorrow over the family’s internal strife becoming a legal battle. She argued that there is no legal basis for Jagan and his wife, Bharathi, to reclaim the gift deeds they had voluntarily granted. She further stated that their sudden change of stance lacks credibility and should not be entertained by the tribunal.

Vijayamma also emphasized that matters related to family gifts and internal company affairs should not fall under the tribunal’s jurisdiction. Her stand is seen as a strong endorsement of Sharmila’s position, directly opposing Jagan’s attempt to reclaim the high-value assets.

The dispute originated when Jagan approached the tribunal, claiming that his relationship with Sharmila had soured and that he no longer wished to retain any goodwill gestures toward her. Given her recent political stance against him, he asserted that the deeds—worth hundreds of crores—should be taken back.

However, Vijayamma has strongly objected to this, suggesting that Jagan and Bharathi’s legal claims are not credible. With the family feud playing out in public and in court, this high-stakes dispute has now become a significant talking point in political and legal circles.
