In what can be a rude shock to Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Jagan administration has not permitted the benefit shows of the film in Andhra Pradesh. The preventing of special and benefit shows in AP is expected to have a huge impact on the Box Office figures of Sye Raa. Particularly, the openings in Andhra and Ceded are likely to see a huge effect.
Whilst Chiru and Charan have did everything best to impress CM Jagan, it seems to have failed. Sye Raa’s pre-release event telecast rights were given to Sakshi and also interviews and promotions were done in Sakshi, but in vain. Despite all the efforts of Sye Raa team to be in good books of Jagan, apparently none of them have worked. The AP state government hasn’t allowed the benefit shows.
Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy is the historic civilian rebel from Kurnool district of Rayalaseema. As Sye Raa chronicles his life and times, the makers have expected benefits from AP state. But let alone tax exemption, even the benefit shows were not permitted. Mega fans in Andhra and Ceded are deeply upset with the government’s decision.
