Opposition Leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who sounded the poll bugle recently by doing 9 Promises (Navaratnalu) during the YSRCP Plenary, has now initiated 60-day campaign blitzkrieg to YSRCP leaders, MLAs before his Padayatra begins in October.
Speaking at the launch of the initiative, Jagan shocked everyone by saying, “I request feedback from party members, media, people and academia.”
Considering that Jagan never in the past made such requests, appeals neither to his leaders nor to media, his latest request for feedback and indicating that he is willing to accept suggestions from people seem that Jagan has ‘changed’. But it needs to be seen whether it is an election stunt scripted by Prashant Kishor or is it natural ‘change’ in Jagan.
Meanwhile, YSR Congress Party is on full throttle in run upto the next general elections. The party has coined a new one-liner as the poll slogan : “YSR Gurthuga, Jagananna Ki Thoduga” (In YSR’s Memory, In Support of Jagan). The 60-day campaign blitzkrieg comprises three major units – Navaratnaala Sabhalu (party Assembly Constituency level meetings), YSR Kutumbham (door-to-door membership drive across the state) and Vijaya Shankaraavam (Jaganmohan Reddy’s district level meetings).
Jagan wants all the party members, representatives, cadres to be trained on Navratnalu, the party’s poll promises, before reaching out to people door-to-door.
