Tovino Thomas on Telugu Cinema & NTR’s Dragon Buzz
Malayalam young star Tovino Thomas has sparked discussions in the industry with his candid comments about working in Telugu cinema during a recent event held in Hyderabad.
When asked about the possibility of doing a straight Telugu film, the actor said he is open to the idea but highlighted the differences in working styles between the industries. He noted that Malayalam films are usually completed in a single schedule, while Telugu films often involve multiple long schedules spread over several months.
Tovino also clarified that he is not part of the much-talked-about project Dragon starring NTR Jr. and directed by Prashanth Neel, stating that he could not commit to the extensive dates required for such a large-scale production.
The actor explained that he prefers focusing on one film at a time and completing it before moving on to the next. According to him, working on a Telugu project can take nearly a year, which would otherwise affect multiple Malayalam commitments.
“I don’t like juggling multiple films. I’d rather finish one and then start another. Waiting for a year for a single project is difficult as it affects my existing schedule,” he said.
His honest remarks have surprised many fans, especially those hoping to see him in this high-profile project.
