Fraudsters impersonating film producers and casting agents are increasingly targeting aspiring actors in India. Recently, Telugu production house Mythri Movie Makers warned the public about a scammer misusing the name of producer Naveen Yerneni. The impersonator is reportedly contacting people via phone and a fake Instagram account, promising film roles in exchange for money or personal details.

The production house emphasized that this individual has no connection with them and urged everyone to report the fake contact. Mythri Movie Makers also reminded the public that all official announcements and casting calls are shared only through their verified social media handles.

This is not an isolated case. Several other industry names, including Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International, Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Productions, and Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films, have issued similar warnings against fake auditions. Actors like Sibi Sathyaraj have also cautioned fans about fraudulent casting posters using their names.

The industry advises aspiring actors to verify information only through official sources and never pay money for casting opportunities. Vigilance is the key to avoiding these scams.
