K’taka Crisis : Chandrababu, KCR Offer ‘Shelter’ To JD(S) MLAs

The crisis in Karnataka has reached the Telugu states. Alleging that Governor Vajubhai is acting against the spirit of Indian constitution, Kumaraswamy has dialed both Chandrababu Naidu, KCR separately and sought their help. Swamy has given an open call for the unity of all regional parties in fight against the Centre.

Seasoned politician Chandrababu has been raising concerns over Governors and their bond with the Centre of late. Earlier, Naidu had made serious comments against Governor Narasimhan who allegedly told Naidu to slow down in Karnataka issue. Naidu had alleged that Governors, who are in constitutional posts, are acting at behest of the Union Government. It had created huge uproar. Narasimhan who went to Delhi the following day avoided meeting Prime Minister as he feared it would add more fuel to Naidu’s comments.

Even Chandrababu gave a call to Telugus in Karnataka to support JD(S) in Karnataka elections. Considering all this, Kumaraswamy has now sought Naidu’s intervention in the Karnataka crisis.

At the same time, KCR had also visited Bengaluru and met Deve Gowda, Kumaraswamy. Pressing for the formation of Federal Front, KCR had approached JD(S) to join the Federal Front. Given this, Swamy has also now sought KCR’s help.

Amidst this, Chandrababu Naidu and KCR reportedly offered ‘shelter’ to JD(S) MLAs against the poaching of BJP. While Naidu offered to arrange shelter to JD(S) MLAs in either Vizag or Tirupati, KCR apparently offered to arrange shelter in the City of Pearls, Hyderabad. JD(S) is yet to take a call.

Meanwhile, Congress is planning to shift its 77 MLAs to Kerala, while one is said to be missing. Looks like, Congress-JD(S) combine is pulling out all stops to avoid Yeddyurappa to continue as the CM.
