Jr NTR’s Political Entry Speculation Gains Momentum
Speculation over Tollywood star Jr NTR’s entry into Andhra Pradesh politics refuses to die down. Despite the actor consistently steering clear of political discussions, his occasional comments and powerful film dialogues often fuel fresh rumours about his political ambitions.
The buzz has intensified once again following the pre-release event of his latest film War-2, where NTR declared: “As long as I have the blessings of my late grandfather Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, no one can stop me.” The remark, coupled with his intense delivery and confident tone, has led analysts to suggest that the actor might indeed be preparing for a political plunge.
Jr NTR has a history with the Telugu Desam Party, having campaigned actively in 2009, before distancing himself from politics. Whether he was sidelined or chose to withdraw remains uncertain, but recent developments hint at a possible shift. Notably, Nara Lokesh recently tweeted in support of Rajinikanth’s Coolie but remained silent on NTR’s War-2, raising eyebrows in political circles.
Meanwhile, fans in Vijayawada have already put up banners declaring “CM NTR,” signaling their desire to see him follow in the footsteps of his grandfather. Adding to the speculation, one of NTR’s dialogues from War-2 — “No need to use someone and then set them aside” — is being widely interpreted as a veiled reference to his 2009 campaign experience.
Many analysts believe that if Jr NTR does step into active politics, he could even consider reviving his grandfather’s legacy under a new banner like “NTR Telugu Desam,” much like Jagan Mohan Reddy established YSR Congress in memory of his father.
