Sandeep Reddy Vanga Launches Jigris Teaser, Praises Film and Team
Sensational director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, known for his blockbuster films, was the chief guest at the grand teaser launch of Jigris, making the event even more special. Speaking at the launch, Sandeep shared his thoughts on the film and its production journey.
“Producer Krishna Vodapalli has been my friend since LKG. If he had told me beforehand, I would have said, ‘Don’t produce a movie.’ But without informing me, he went ahead and started it. During the shoot of Animal, he called me and said, ‘One schedule is already done in Goa.’ I immediately scolded him over the phone, asking why he ventured into production. Later, during a break in Animal shooting, I came to Hyderabad and he showed me some visuals—they were really impressive.
I watched a few scenes and was particularly impressed with the comedy. In today’s cinema, most contemporary comedy tends to be vulgar, but here, director Harish has written and shot it brilliantly without relying on such elements. The music by Kamran Syed perfectly complements the visuals. From what I understand, there are three to four songs in the film, which will be released soon, and I believe the audience will connect with them.
The teaser shows just a glimpse—the comedy in the film is even more abundant. One remarkable aspect of the Telugu audience is that they support a good film wholeheartedly, regardless of their relationship with the producer or director. Jigris may be a small film, but it has been made with immense dedication and hard work.
Once the film releases and becomes a hit, audiences will get to hear interesting behind-the-scenes stories—like how the team faced challenges from police in Goa and near the Maharashtra border. These incidents highlight the risks they took to bring the story to life. We’ll share more about this during the success meet.
Sandeep also mentioned that Vinay, alongside Krishna, is co-producing the film and is new to production. “The film will be released soon—come and watch it with your own Jigris (friends),” he said with a smile. The event was also attended by director Kranti Madhav and several other special guests, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.
