Rajinikanth Steps In to Revive Kamal Haasan-Shankar’s Indian 3
Legendary actor-director duo Kamal Haasan and Shankar have been navigating a rough patch lately. While Kamal faced setbacks with Thug Life and Indian 2, Shankar’s reputation has taken hits with the underwhelming performance of Indian 2 and the delays surrounding Game Changer. Amidst this troubled phase, there’s one major project that has been left hanging — Indian 3.

He also mediated discussions between Kamal Haasan and Shankar, convincing both to resume the film without demanding any additional remuneration for the pending shooting, re-recording, and dubbing.
The agreement, as per industry buzz, is that if Indian 3 turns out to be a blockbuster, Kamal and Shankar can claim their payments from the profits after covering previous losses. Though nothing has been officially confirmed, this insider talk has caught significant attention in Kollywood.
Interestingly, insiders say that the true essence of the story lies in Indian 3. Indian 2 was reportedly designed more to cash in on the sequel hype, but it ended up delivering lackluster results and diminished interest in the franchise. However, Indian 3 is expected to delve deeper into Senapathi’s transformation into a vigilante, his battles against the British, and other significant plotlines.
Anirudh Ravichander is composing the main songs for the film, and Kajal Aggarwal is also expected to feature prominently in Indian 3.
