YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, has once again resumed his weekly visits to the state and interacted with YSR Congress Party (YCP) supporters and leaders at the party’s Tadepalli headquarters. During the meeting, he launched a new digital platform named Jagan 2.0, aimed at strengthening communication within the party ecosystem.
Earlier, Jagan had spoken about the idea of creating a digital platform to document complaints and concerns raised by YCP leaders and supporters across Andhra Pradesh. Taking that concept forward, the Jagan 2.0 app has now been introduced as a social media-style platform exclusively for party members and supporters.
Jagan urged YCP cadre to download the application and use it to share political issues, social media-related concerns, and challenges faced at the ground level. According to him, the platform will function as a digital library that records problems within the party network, helping the leadership analyze and address them in the future.
The launch of Jagan 2.0 is being seen as another attempt by the former CM to build a digitally connected support system for YCP. The platform is expected to help gather feedback from party workers and create a structured database of issues across the state.
However, political observers point out that the larger challenge for Jagan remains establishing stronger direct communication with grassroots-level leaders and party workers. They argue that without consistent ground-level engagement, digital initiatives alone may have limited impact. Despite these concerns, Jagan appears focused on expanding the party’s digital presence and strengthening its internal network through such initiatives.
