Manchu Vishnu Opens Up About Leaving Star-Studded Tollywood WhatsApp Group
Who would’ve thought a WhatsApp group could spark such curiosity? While promoting his upcoming film Kannappa, Manchu Vishnu casually let slip a detail that quickly grabbed attention. It turns out he was once part of a star-studded Tollywood WhatsApp group — and then chose to leave it.
In a recent national media interview, Vishnu revealed that the group included some of the industry’s biggest names like Rana Daggubati, Ram Charan, and Allu Arjun. When asked why he walked away from such an exclusive chat, his response was refreshingly honest. “Rana and Bunny started the group. I was part of it for a while. But there were a lot of heroines in the group too, and honestly, I felt too shy to speak up. So I told Rana and Bunny that if there’s anything important, they can just message me directly,” he shared with a smile.
Despite stepping away from the group, Vishnu emphasized that the friendships remain strong. “We all grew up together. We’re like family. If someone needs anything, one phone call is enough. That emotional bond has been there since our parents’ time, and we’re continuing it,” he added.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time the Tollywood WhatsApp group has come up in conversation. Actor Nani had earlier revealed that there’s an industry-wide group with over 140 members where actors share everything from movie trailers to updates. While the existence of such a group is intriguing on its own, Vishnu’s candid reason for opting out adds a personal, relatable twist to the glitzy world of celebrity circles.
