Tamil superstar Suriya, known for his iconic collaborations with top Kollywood directors such as Mani Ratnam, Gautham Menon, A.R. Murugadoss, K.S. Ravikumar, and Sudha Kongara, has officially announced his next big project — a collaboration with the popular Telugu filmmaker Venky Atluri. Atluri, who has recently gained popularity among Tamil stars with successful films like Sir with Dhanush and Lucky Bhaskar with Dulquer Salmaan, continues to solidify his pan-Indian appeal.

At the pre-release event of his upcoming film Retro in Hyderabad, Suriya expressed excitement about this new partnership, calling it a “beautiful association” with “beautiful talent.” He also spoke about the releases of Retro and Nani’s HIT: The Third Case, both slated to hit theaters on May 1. Confirming the new project, Suriya said, “I have to announce this today. It all started with Allu Aravind garu; the journey began with him. With his blessings, and with all of you eagerly waiting for this announcement, we are joining hands with Sithara Entertainments, Vamsi, and my dear brother Venky here,” as he shared a handshake with the duo on stage.

He added, “This will be my next. After a long time, I am doing my next Tamil film with Venky, and I will be spending a lot of time here in beautiful Hyderabad. We start in May, and we need all your love and blessings. This will be a beautiful journey.” This marks Suriya’s second major engagement with Telugu cinema, following his critically acclaimed performance in Raktha Charithra, directed by Ram Gopal Varma.

On the other hand, Venky Atluri, who delivered the hit Sir with Dhanush and is currently preparing for Lucky Bhaskar with Dulquer Salmaan, is now set to direct the Ghajini star. This collaboration promises an exciting and highly anticipated film for fans across industries.
