Telangana’s political landscape took an unexpected turn yesterday following reports that BRS leader Kavitha had penned a strongly-worded letter to her father, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), sharply criticizing his political approach. The letter quickly sparked widespread debate across the state.
According to the reports, Kavitha expressed her disappointment over KCR’s perceived leniency towards the BJP, despite the party’s alleged involvement in targeting her during the Delhi liquor case investigation. She also called for greater engagement of the party’s second and third-tier leaders, highlighting the urgent need to strengthen the BRS from the grassroots level.
However, the BRS swiftly issued a rebuttal, dismissing the reports as baseless and clarifying that no such letter was written by Kavitha to KCR.
The issue took another dramatic turn today when KTR was asked about the alleged letter by Telugu media. In a rare display of frustration, KTR appeared visibly displeased, even pushing away the reporter’s microphone — a reaction unusual for the typically composed leader.
Without confirming or denying the letter’s existence, KTR responded cryptically, saying, “I will answer this at a later point in time. Why are you in more of a hurry than me? What do you have to gain from this?” before abruptly walking away.
At present, the controversy surrounding Kavitha’s alleged letter continues to fuel discussions and speculation within Telangana’s political circles.
