After delivering a sensational blockbuster with his directorial debut Uppena, Buchi Babu Sana is now teaming up with Ram Charan for his much-anticipated second film, Peddi. The recently released teaser has taken the internet by storm, generating massive hype and delivering strong blockbuster vibes. Fans are now eagerly awaiting what this exciting collaboration has in store.

In a recent interview, Buchi Babu revealed that he first narrated the story of Peddi to his mentor, Sukumar, who was highly impressed. It was Sukumar who then encouraged Buchi Babu to narrate the script to Ram Charan. Interestingly, after Uppena, there were strong rumors that Buchi Babu would collaborate with Jr NTR for his next project. However, that film didn’t materialize, paving the way for Peddi.

Contrary to speculation that Peddi was originally meant for NTR, Buchi Babu clarified that Ram Charan was always his first choice for this script. This revelation has further raised curiosity around the film and its character-driven narrative.

Speaking about the emotional moment during the release of Peddi’s teaser, Buchi Babu shared that he was at Ram Charan’s house, joined by Charan and Megastar Chiranjeevi. Nervous yet hopeful, he was relieved when Chiranjeevi watched the teaser on full volume—courtesy of Ram Charan—and appreciated it. Buchi Babu described it as a truly unforgettable moment in his career.

The teaser’s most viral moment—the dramatic sixer shot at the end—has become a fan favorite. Buchi Babu credited stunt choreographer Navakanth for crafting that impactful sequence, and expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response from fans.

Peddi stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, alongside an ensemble cast featuring Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu in key roles. With music composed by the legendary A.R. Rahman and production by Venkata Satish Kilaru, the film is slated for a grand worldwide release on March 27, 2026.
