“Prabhas’ Remuneration for Kannappa – Here’s the Truth!”
Manchu Vishnu has pulled off an impressive casting coup for his upcoming film Kannappa, which stands as the most expensive project of his career by a significant margin. As part of the film’s promotions ahead of its theatrical release on April 25, Vishnu shared an interesting revelation about the star-studded cast.
He disclosed that Prabhas did not charge a single rupee for his role in Kannappa and graciously joined the shoot without any remuneration. The Baahubali star’s gesture reflects his strong bond with the Manchu family. Similarly, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal also opted to forgo his remuneration, choosing to be part of the project purely out of friendship and goodwill.
Vishnu expressed his gratitude, stating that both Prabhas and Mohanlal share a deep relationship with his father, Manchu Mohan Babu, and the entire Manchu family. Their decision to work on Kannappa without compensation was a testament to their friendship and mutual respect.
Notably, Prabhas is one of the highest-paid actors in Indian cinema, making his decision to prioritize friendship over financial gain even more commendable. Mohanlal, too, deserves appreciation for valuing relationships above all else and supporting the film without any monetary expectation.
Vishnu further revealed that Kannappa has been made on a massive budget of ₹120 crore, making it the most ambitious project of his career. With everything at stake, he is eagerly gearing up for the film’s grand theatrical release on April 25.
