In most cases, such biopics are attempted only decades after an actor or actress has passed away, mainly due to legal issues involving family members and others closely connected to their lives.

Interestingly, Tamil star Ajith Kumar is set to become the first contemporary hero to have a biographical project made on him—though not as a feature film. As per reports, a leading OTT platform is developing a special documentary that will focus on Ajith’s passion-driven racing journey.

The documentary, tentatively titled “Ajith’s Racing Life,” will be directed by AL Vijay, the former husband of actress Amala Paul. It is planned as a three-part series that chronicles Ajith’s deep involvement in professional car racing. What makes this particularly noteworthy is that even legendary stars like Chiranjeevi, Rajinikanth, Balakrishna, or current superstars such as Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu do not have documentaries centered on their personal journeys. Ajith’s unique dedication to racing seems to be what sets him apart.

Ajith’s racing credentials add strong substance to the project. His race car team has secured third place at the prestigious Dubai 24H race, finished third at Italy’s 12H race, and achieved an impressive second place at the iconic Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium. These achievements highlight that his racing career is not just a hobby but a serious pursuit.

Despite managing a demanding acting career, Ajith continues to actively participate in racing events. His journey has not been without setbacks, as he has faced multiple crashes and injuries along the way. However, his resilience and commitment to the sport make his story compelling, and this documentary is expected to offer fans a rare and inspiring look into a lesser-known but defining side of Ajith Kumar’s life.
