After dominating Tollywood for over 15 years, actress Samantha has added another remarkable achievement to her career. Venturing into production, she launched her own production house, Tralala Moving Pictures, and backed the recently released Telugu horror-comedy, Subham.

Although Samantha produced the film on a modest budget, she made sure that Subham garnered attention well before its theatrical release last Friday. In addition to her role as a producer, Samantha also made a quirky cameo in the movie and actively promoted it through pre-release events and interviews.

Her efforts paid off, as the film garnered a positive reception from fans and audiences, thanks to its hilarious plot and a fresh, young cast. Despite these positive factors, the movie struggled to translate that into strong box office numbers. As of the opening weekend, Subham has grossed approximately Rs 5 crores worldwide.

However, despite its underwhelming box office performance, Subham has already proven to be a profitable venture for Samantha. The film has secured a Rs 1.50 crore deal for its satellite rights, and Samantha is reportedly negotiating a Rs 3 crore deal for its OTT rights. In the end, Subham may not have been a box office smash, but it’s still a win for Samantha the producer.
