Abhishek Nama’s ambitious mythological action drama Nagabandham is being mounted on a massive scale, with the team sparing no expense to bring the story’s grandeur to life. Featuring Virat Karrna in the lead, the film delves into the enigmatic concept of Nagabandham, drawing inspiration from recent discoveries of ancient temple treasures, including those at the famed Padmanabha Swamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram.

Blending mythology, ancient rituals, and an element of mystery, the narrative aims to present age-old spiritual traditions in a visually rich, contemporary manner for today’s audience.

Director Abhishek Nama is reportedly taking exceptional care to deliver the story with cinematic splendor, while producers Kishore Annapureddy and Nishitha Nagireddy are backing the project with a significant budget to match its epic vision. As part of this effort, the team has constructed several elaborate temple sets—so realistic that they are said to be indistinguishable from actual historic temples.

Currently, the unit is shooting the film’s grand climax at Ramanaidu Studios, and it promises to be a showstopper. The sequence revolves around a massive, intricately designed door created by production designer Ashok Kumar, symbolizing the sanctity of Nagabandham. An astonishing ₹20 crore has reportedly been spent on the climax portion alone, making it one of the most expensive climax sequences in recent times.

International stunt director Kecha Khamphakdee from Thailand is choreographing the action, ensuring intense, high-impact visuals. Media personnel who visited the sets on Tuesday were stunned by the scale, detail, and grandeur of the shoot.

With production now nearing completion, the makers are gearing up to kick-start promotions. Teasers, behind-the-scenes videos, and more promotional material will soon be unveiled to build anticipation around this mythological spectacle.
