Actor Janhvi Kapoor has issued a clarification after certain media reports misinterpreted her comments about alcohol. Taking to Instagram, she addressed the confusion and set the record straight, urging people not to spread misleading information.

The misunderstanding began after her appearance on a podcast hosted by Raj Shamani. During the conversation, Janhvi candidly spoke about a challenging phase in her life, revealing that she had turned to drinking more frequently for a brief period following an emotional experience. However, she clearly emphasized that she was never addicted to alcohol.

An official statement from an awareness initiative she supports further clarified the issue, noting that some media outlets had misrepresented her words. It reiterated that Janhvi is not someone who has struggled with alcohol addiction, but rather a supporter of efforts aimed at helping those who do. The statement also stressed the importance of responsible reporting, especially on sensitive topics like addiction, as misinformation can harm those genuinely facing such challenges.

In the podcast, Janhvi was open about her personal reflections, admitting that she did not enjoy how alcohol made her feel physically or mentally. She shared that waking up after drinking often left her uncomfortable, which eventually helped her realize it wasn’t a healthy habit for her.
