Malayalam actresses are ruling South Indian cinema right now. Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and back to Malayalam — they’re effortlessly dominating every industry. Recently, Anupama Parameswaran created a sensation by locking seven films for 2025: Dragon, Bison Kaalamaadan, The Pet Detective, JSK, Kishkindhapuri, Paradha, and Lockdown. Seven releases in a single year is unheard of, making her the first South Indian heroine to achieve such a feat.

But even before the applause settled, another Malayalam star has stolen the spotlight — Samyuktha Menon.

Samyuktha’s rise has been an entirely different phenomenon. Telugu audiences often say, “If you want real stardom, do a Telugu film,” and she proved that statement true. What’s remarkable is that she became a Pan-India sensation without pairing opposite the industry’s biggest male stars. She now has nine films on hand, out of which seven are Pan-India ventures — practically a fully booked calendar.

Her momentum skyrocketed after Bheemla Nayak. Suddenly, every industry wanted her. Success followed success with films like Sir, Bimbisara, and Virupaksha, which boosted her popularity in Telugu far more than in Malayalam, despite her having acted in 15 Malayalam films already. From there, she branched out into Tamil, Kannada, and even Bollywood with Maharagini.

Currently, Samyuktha is juggling an impressive lineup — Swayambhu with Nikhil, Nari Nari Nadu Murari with Sharwanand, Hindhava with Bellamkonda Srinivas, Mohanlal’s Ram in Malayalam, a Tamil project titled Benz, and a significant role in Akhanda 2. She is also leading a female-centric action-packed project, The Black Gold, where her look has already created a solid buzz.

With nine films in hand and seven spanning multiple languages, Samyuktha Menon has set a new benchmark for Malayalam actresses — and it’s clear she’s only getting started.
