Filmmaker Atlee Kumar and his wife Priya Atlee have shared joyful news with their fans, announcing the birth of their baby girl on Monday. The couple, who already have a son named Meer, expressed their happiness on social media.

Atlee posted a heartwarming message saying, “Feeling blessed,” along with a cute poster featuring an illustration of their son Meer. The poster read, “Yay! I’ve got a baby sister!” and confirmed, “We, Priya and Atlee, are blessed with a baby girl. April 20th, 2026.”

On the professional front, Atlee is currently working on his upcoming film Raaka, starring Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. The project has already generated significant buzz.

On the occasion of Allu Arjun’s 44th birthday, the makers unveiled his first look from the film. The poster showcased a striking and intense close-up of the actor in a bald, rugged avatar, partially obscured by what appears to be a wolf’s claw, hinting at a raw, warrior-like theme.

Produced by Sun Pictures, Raaka is being mounted on a grand scale with the involvement of several world-class technicians. During the announcement, the production house released a video featuring renowned international experts praising the script.

Mike Elizalde, president of Spectral Motion, described the script as “unlike anything I’ve ever read,” calling it a dream project. Academy Award winner Justin Raleigh expressed excitement about the film’s creature and character potential, while William Write Anderson of Lola VFX said he was eager to be part of such an “unbelievable” story.

With a unique concept and global talent on board, the makers are positioning Raaka as a film with strong universal appeal.
