The Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) returned in grand fashion with its third season, as a dazzling opening ceremony was held in Pune on Friday. The launch event turned into a true celebration of sports and cinema, with legendary icons such as Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar, Suriya, Ram Charan, Akshay Kumar, and several other prominent personalities in attendance.

ISPL Season 3 features eight franchises, blending competitive street cricket with celebrity ownership. Defending champions Majhi Mumbai, co-owned by Amitabh Bachchan, are back to defend their title. Tigers of Kolkata are jointly owned by Sourav Ganguly, Saif Ali Khan, and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Akshay Kumar owns Srinagar Ke Veer, while Suriya represents the South as the owner of Chennai Singams.

The league also boasts star-backed teams such as Bengaluru Strikers, owned by Hrithik Roshan, and Falcon Risers Hyderabad, owned by Ram Charan. Adding fresh excitement this season are two new franchises—Delhi Superheros, owned by Salman Khan, and Ahmedabad Lions, owned by Ajay Devgn.

ISPL is a high-energy tennis ball cricket league scheduled to run from January 9 to February 6. Over the course of a month, eight teams will battle it out across 44 fast-paced matches, promising entertainment, intense competition, and massive fan engagement.
