Starring Kunchacko Boban in the lead role, this police procedural thriller follows the journey of demoted inspector Hari Shankar, who finds himself entangled in a dangerous counterfeit jewelry racket. As he digs deeper, he realizes the case is far more complex and life-threatening than it initially seemed.

Last year, Mythri released Tovino Thomas’ ARM, which garnered decent traction in the Telugu market. With renewed confidence post-Dragon, they are now bringing Officer On Duty to Telugu audiences on March 7th. The theatrical trailer, which dropped recently, promises an engaging investigative thriller.

However, the film, which was released in Malayalam on February 20th, received mixed reviews and has not yet been declared a hit. Additionally, Kunchacko Boban, though a respected actor with critically acclaimed films like 2018, Virus, and Midnight Murders, is yet to achieve a major breakthrough in the Telugu market.

Despite this, the growing trend of Malayalam films finding acceptance among Telugu audiences could work in the film’s favor. If Officer On Duty delivers a gripping narrative, it might strike a chord with the audience and emerge as another successful dubbed release for Mythri Movie Makers.
