Samantha Gets Nostalgic About Her Debut Film Ye Maaya Chesave
Star actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been a part of the film industry for over 15 years, yet she still holds her debut film close to her heart. Gautham Menon’s Ye Maaya Chesave marked her entry into Telugu cinema, and even today, she cherishes every single shot she performed in the film.
Looking back on her journey, Samantha recently shared that she remembers everything that happened during the filming of Ye Maaya Chesave, describing the 15-year milestone as feeling like a lifetime. Recalling her first-ever scene, she said, “The first scene I shot was the gate meeting with Karthik. I still remember every little detail of that moment because working with Gautham Menon was an incredible experience. He had complete clarity about how the character should be portrayed.”
Ye Maaya Chesave, the Telugu remake of the Tamil classic Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, became a big success, with A.R. Rahman’s soulful music adding to its impact. The film not only gave Samantha a dream debut but also paved the way for her stellar career. Following this, she starred in multiple blockbusters like Brindavanam, Dookudu, Eega, SVSC, Atharintiki Daredi, and many more.
Her most recent appearance was in Kushi, followed by the Prime Video web series Citadel: Honey Bunny. Currently, she is filming for another web series, Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom, while also stepping into production with her upcoming project Ma Inti Bangaram.
