Sankrantiki Vasthunnam starring Victory Venkatesh has turned into a monumental success, grossing over Rs. 218 crores worldwide in just 8 days and earning a staggering Rs. 100 crores share. With this record-breaking performance, director Anil Ravipudi, who is renowned for his blockbuster films, has completed a remarkable 10-year journey in the industry, starting with his directorial debut Pataas.

Reflecting on his decade-long journey, Anil Ravipudi expressed gratitude for the relationships he’s built with the actors he’s worked with. He said, “I’m extremely thankful to Nandamuri Kalyanram for giving me the opportunity to direct. We created Pataas on a modest budget, and it turned into a massive hit, which helped solidify my career as a director. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with several talented actors—Sai Dharam Tej in Supreme, Ravi Teja in Raja The Great, Venkatesh in F2 and Sankrantiki Vasthunnam, Superstar Mahesh in Sarileru Neekevvaru, Nandamuri Balakrishna in Bhagavanth Kesari, and again with Venkatesh in F3. With each one, I’ve forged a strong bond, and I feel truly blessed to have had such a fulfilling career.”

He shared that his process of writing screenplays comes from thinking like an audience member, and he makes it a point to watch every movie that releases on Fridays. He mentioned that continuously learning from each film has helped him stay updated and avoid repeating his previous characters, which he believes has contributed to his growth as a filmmaker.

On the incredible success of Sankrantiki Vasthunnam, Ravipudi humbly credited the audience for the film’s triumph. He said, “Over the past ten years, I’ve earned the trust of the audience, and that trust is what made this film a huge success. This success is a case study for me, and I’m deeply grateful to the audiences for embracing my films and making me feel like part of their families.”

Anil Ravipudi admitted that he never expected Sankrantiki Vasthunnam to surpass the success of his previous hit F2, but it did, breaking all of his expectations. He emphasized his commitment to entertaining the audience, saying that this is his unique selling point, and he has no plans of deviating from it.

When asked about his future projects, Ravipudi stated that it’s too early to discuss them but expressed his eagerness to work with Nagarjuna to create a film like Hello Brother. He also revealed that he is working on a project to present Megastar Chiranjeevi in a completely fresh and never-before-seen avatar.
