Khushi Kapoor’s Nadaaniyan Faces Mixed Reviews and Predictable Plot

After a mixed debut in The Archies on Netflix and a lukewarm reception to her second film LoveYappa, Khushi Kapoor’s third film Nadaaniyan hit the screens today. Co-starring Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan, the film opened to mostly underwhelming reviews. While some appreciated the fresh pairing of the leads, many critics felt that the film lacked substance and struggled to maintain audience engagement.

The story centers on Pia (Khushi), a wealthy girl who hides her personal struggles behind a facade of smiles. Arjun (Ibrahim), a career-driven man, is allergic to emotional drama. A misunderstanding with her friends leads Pia to hire Arjun to pose as her fake boyfriend, a setup that unexpectedly sparks genuine feelings. However, the plot felt all too familiar and predictable, offering little new for audiences to grab onto. Critics were especially critical of the performances, describing the lead pair’s acting as flat and their chemistry as lacking. While the film aimed to be a light-hearted rom-com, the weak script and forced emotional moments left viewers feeling disconnected.

With Nadaaniyan, Khushi Kapoor’s journey toward a breakthrough performance remains ongoing.
