Nikhil’s much-anticipated Pan-India spectacle Swayambhu has officially moved into the post-production phase, with the film’s shoot now fully wrapped. Initially slated for a February 13 release to coincide with Maha Shivaratri, the makers have decided to postpone the theatrical release to April 10, opting for a strategic summer launch.

Directed by Bharat Krishnamachari and produced by Bhuvan and Sreekar under the Pixel Studios banner, with Tagore Madhu presenting, Swayambhu is being mounted on a grand scale with heavy reliance on cutting-edge CGI and visual effects. Recognising the importance of delivering top-tier visuals, the team has entrusted post-production to some of the country’s leading VFX studios.

Rather than rushing the process and compromising on quality, the makers have chosen to invest additional time to ensure the film meets Pan-India expectations. The summer release window is also viewed as a more commercially viable period for a large-scale theatrical outing across multiple languages.

Nikhil will be seen portraying a legendary warrior, marking one of the most ambitious roles of his career. The film stars Samyuktha and Nabha Natesh as the female leads. Buzz around the project has been steadily growing, especially after the release of the visually striking “Rise of Swayambhu” video. An official announcement regarding the revised release date is expected soon.
