Vishwambhara Update: Major Music Team Change Before Release

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s long-delayed fantasy spectacle Vishwambhara has now been in production for over two years, with no confirmed release date yet. Directed by Vassishta Mallidi of Bimbisara fame, the film faced heavy criticism after its teaser received backlash for underwhelming VFX, leading to an extended post-production phase.
Now, the makers have made a significant technical shift in the film’s music department. Reports suggest that composer Hari Gowra has been brought on board to handle the background score, while Oscar-winning composer M. M. Keeravani continues to compose the songs. This division of work is being seen as a strategic decision to enhance both the emotional depth and musical appeal of the film.
Given that Vishwambhara is a high-budget fantasy film heavily dependent on VFX and storytelling impact, the background score plays a crucial role in elevating key moments. Hari Gowra, known for his powerful work in films like HanuMan and Mirai, is expected to bring strong emotional and elevation-driven sound design to the project.
At the same time, retaining Keeravani for the songs ensures the film maintains its musical richness and mass appeal. Interestingly, Hari Gowra has already begun work on the re-recording, indicating that the team is now focusing heavily on post-production to speed up completion.
With major technical changes and ongoing finishing work, Vishwambhara continues to remain one of the most anticipated yet delayed projects in Tollywood, leaving fans eagerly waiting for an official release announcement.
