Temple Town Tirupati is soon going to be bestowed as the mobile manufacturing hub as a slew of major mobile manufacturers are all set to invest in the city. According to confirmed reports, a whopping Rs 1000 Crore would be invested in Tirupati very soon and the top companies said to have already signed agreements with the AP government. In around 65 Acres, a mobile facility is going to come up with an initial employment potential of 10000 jobs.
It’s learnt that the industrial park is coming near Renigunta airport in the outskirts of Tirupati. Top companies such as Micromax, Karbonn and Celkon mobiles will set up anchor units at the facility and have already confirmed the same to the AP government. Officials said even the Taiwan-based Foxconn, the world’s largest contract mobile handset maker, decided to set up a manufacturing plant in AP.
What’s more? Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is visiting Amaravati on Oct 22 to lay foundation stone for the world-class capital, is expected to make a statement on mobile manufacturing hub.
