Just when we thought the outbreak of Corona virus is slowing down in Andhra Pradesh, 15 new positive cases have been confirmed in the last 15 hours. The total Corona cases in AP stood at 329. Nellore and Krishna districts have reported six cases each while Chittoor district has posted three cases.
The AP Health department has acknowledged the virus has extended to community transmission and so the government is on high alert. In the next few days, the health department is planning to do conduct random tests for nearly two to three lakh people at once. The health department in its survey identified 5000 people with Corona virus symptoms and they are under scanner.
About 20 Lakh PPE and 14 N95 masks have been readied for the health care workers and medical teams who will be conducting these tests, informed health department special secretary Janardhan Reddy.
