Bollywood Superstar Aamir Khan has cracked one of the biggest movie markets in the world, China, and how! Even a film in which he played a special role is doing wonders at China box office.After creating a decent market for himself in China with ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘PK’, Aamir created an unprecedented sensation with ‘Dangal’, which collected nearly Rs 1500 Cr there. Its the China collections that helped Dangal beat the unbeatable ‘Baahubali 2’ to take the crown of the biggest Indian grosser worldwide.
Now, Aamir’s latest release, “Secret Superstar”, a film that he produced and played a special role in, became the second Indian movie to collect Rs 500 Cr in China. This musical drama, made on a modest budget of Rs 25 Cr, took just 2 weeks to race past the 500 Cr gross in China, which is faster than Dangal did. Going by the steady run, the film is expected to collect another Rs 200 Cr here in full run.
Interestingly, the China box office helped Dangal to beat Baahubali 2 and ‘Secret Superstar’ to beat ‘Baahubali 1’.
