40 Jagan MLAs ready to ditch YSRCP at the right time?

Is everything not well in the YSRCP? If highly placed sources are to be believed, despite YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s iron fisted control over the party, there are several disgruntled MLAs. The sources say that these MLAs are waiting for the right opportunity to strike at the party and the leader.

There is an increasing feeling among several party MLAs that they have been reduced to mere figureheads in the party. They have no say whatsoever either in the designing, implementation of the schemes and in the selection of the beneficiaries. As a result, they have lo role in the party’s affairs. The discontent is more in those MLAs, who feel that they have won not just because of Jagan’s charisma but also due to their personal influence and hard work.

If sources are to be believed, at least 30 percent of MLAs have won the elections because of their efforts and nor merely because of YS Jagan. These MLAs are upset that they have not been getting funds for the development of their constituencies. They also feel that even small things such as road repairs are not under their control.

Many MLAs are dissatisfied that Jagan does not consult them on any issue. From appointment for the nominated posts down to beneficiary selection for various welfare schemes, they have no say whatsoever. Even getting to secure an appointment for a meeting with YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is a tough task.

If sources are to be believed, at least up to 40 MLAs are planning to leave Jagan ahead of the 2024 elections. Several MLAs are also upset at the arbitrary division of the districts. They feel that joining some parts of their constituencies in other districts will hit their prospects in the coming elections.
