6000 guests for Modi swearing ceremony

Narendra Modi will take oath as Prime Minister of India for the second time tomorrow. Rashtrapathi Bhavan is getting ready with unprecedented arrangements and like last time, Modi has preferred to swear-in in the forecourt at the President’s residence.

Regularly Durbar Hall hosts Prime Minister’s swearing ceremony but it can only accommodate 500 guests only. This is for the fourth time, a politician is going to take oath as PM in the forecourt of Rashtrapathi Bhavan. From the New Delhi sources, we hear that about 6000 guests will be gracing Modi’s swearing ceremony and tight security arrangements are being made. The guest list includes heads of state of 14 nations, ambassadors of various nations, public intellectuals, political activists, film stars and celebrities.

The Rashtrapathi Bhavan is also making food arrangements for the guests ranging from samosas to Rajbhog and lemon tarts. The dinner will include both vegetarian and non-vegetarian menu.

Telangana CM KCR, Andhra Pradesh’s CM designate YS Jagan and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee are among the guests.
