After creating a sensational combination with legendary Ilaiyaraaja and Oscar-winning composer M.M. Keeravani for the soulful track “Edo Ededo,” the makers of Shashtipoorthi have now brought together another exciting duo — Ilaiyaraaja and his son, Yuvan Shankar Raja.

For the very first time in Telugu, Yuvan has sung a song composed by his father. Titled “Raathrantha Rache,” this special track marks a memorable musical collaboration between the iconic father-son duo. While Yuvan has lent his voice to several Telugu songs before, this is his debut under Ilaiyaraaja’s composition for a straight Telugu film — and the energy in the track reflects the uniqueness of this union.

Shashtipoorthi is an emotional drama directed by Pavan Prabha, featuring Rupeysh and Akanksha in the lead roles. A major highlight of the film is the nostalgic reunion of the legendary Ladies Tailor pair — Rajendra Prasad and Archana — who are sharing screen space again after 40 years, which is sure to be a big draw for fans.

Slated for release on May 30, the film promises high production values. The makers have invested in rich visuals, including specially designed sets and top-tier production design.

Backed by Maa Aai banner, and produced by lead actor Rupeysh, Shashtipoorthi is building strong positive momentum as it approaches its release date.
