TDP on Friday demanded investigation under Judicial Scrutiny and Criminal Investigation Rules against all the cabinet members of late chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy for issuing 26 controversial GOs faulted by the Supreme Court.
In a statement here, party Politburo member Yanamala Rama Krishnudu has stated that Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy should have already dismissed them and demanded an explanation from him for not doing so so far.
Yanamala stated that all the cabinet members had received details of decisions to be taken two to three months ahead of the cabinet meetings and have the responsibility of studying the proposals. He stated that some ministers stating that they signed GOs because then chief minister asked them to do so, others stating that they could not read the proposals as they contained 72 pages was untenable. He stated that action should be taken against all the ministers, who had signed the registers on the day of the cabinet meetings when controversial decisions were taken.
Referring to the Election Commission displaying affidavits of some candidates and not uploading that of others, Rama Krishnudu has stated that all the rules and Acts should be universally applicable to all. He alleged that the Election Commission was acting in a partial manner. He said that the State Election Commissioner stating that he would give the affidavits, if application was made out for them was also wrong. He advised the EC authorities to shed partisan attitude and treat every one equally
