Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari seems to be playing the dual role of a legislator as well as Parliamentarian. Srihari, who represents Warangal Parliamentary constituency, has started attending Parliament session while the Assembly was conducting a heated session.
Ironically, he has also attended the budget session of the State Assembly and has been replying to several questions from the MLAs. This is because Srihari has not yet resigned from the post of MP, though it is more than two months since he replaced Dr T Rajaiah as the Deputy Chief Minister.
Srihari, who did not resign as an MP, is neither an MLA nor an MLC. As per the rules, he has to become the member of the state Assembly or council within six months if he has to continue in the State cabinet.
However, there is no clarity as to whether Srihari can attend simultaneously Parliament and the Assembly and Council in Telangana State. Taking advantage of it, he is playing the role of both an MP as well as minister!
