Surabhi made her debut in Tollywood with ‘Beeruva’ which was a flop. However, she did get good marks for her acting and her Tamil films also proved that she can act. Surabhi is now doing a Ram Gopal Varma movie in which she plays a ‘car mechanic’.
Hopefully, this will not affect any glamour roles coming her way. In his heyday, Ramu made heroines like Urmila, Nisha Kothari and Antara Mali famous.
But by and large, they were restricted to Varma’s movies and did not get too many offer from others whereas those like Katrina Kaif who did the odd film for Varma and escaped went on to do exceedingly well in their careers.
Surabhi would do well to keep this fact in mind and not get stuck with the Varma camp.
