Gowtham Menon has created an identity for himself as a good director. In the process, he has also introduced a unique format or business model of filmmaking whereby he would shoot a movie in two different languages at the same time with different star casts.
Gowtham made ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’ in Telugu with Naga Chaitanya and Samantha in the lead roles. The same movie was made parallel in Tamil with Simbu and Trisha. Similar is the case with Nani’s ‘Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu’.
Gowtham is now planning a film in Tamil with Simbu and apparently has approached Nithiin to do the Telugu version.
Nithiin has already done a film ‘Courier Boy Kalyan’ for which Gowtham has acted as producer. Though the film completed shooting and was supposed to release a year ago, it has still not seen the light of day. Against this backdrop, it will be interesting to see whether Nithiin accepts this fresh project.
