Congress Legislature Party leader K Jana Reddy, who has been staying away from CLP activities ever since he was chided by his party colleagues for going soft on the Telangana Rashtra Samithi government, sprang a surprise on his colleagues by praising Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in the Assembly on Friday.
Initiating the debate on budget, Jana was all praise for the KCR government for launching Mission Kakatiya scheme. He suggested that the government give top priority to repair the tanks under ‘Mission Kakathiya Scheme,’ which is most useful to the people.
He, however, said there was no point in taking up works in already dried up tanks. Responding to Jana Reddy’s suggestion, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao said the Government was taking up 20 percent works every year in every mandal, irrespective of political affiliation of the villages.
Jana Reddy has been sulking ever since he was pulled up by his party MLAs last week. He even refused to react on the budget when media persons asked his opinion. “There are other seniors in the party. You can go and ask him,” he said.
